@Wulf - That depends on your grip. As I'd mentioned, I play on high sensitivity -- 5600dpi on the x axis -- and I use very little surface to play (I mention this in my Megasoma review, too -- http://thebattlemasters.com/2009/10/17/the-razer-megasoma/ ). You can press the side buttons without forcing a rightward movement because you can stabilize the mouse with your ring and pinky fingers. You can further stabilize the mouse with the palm of your hand, since it's ergonomic shape lends itself to a rest state.
