If I remember correctly, the sinister squashling and hallowed helm also can be gotten from the treat bags. It makes that achievement a little bit easier

Yeah, that was a change they implemented in the middle of last years Hallow's End.

Yep. My level 17 bank alt has the Sinister Squashling and my level 36 druid got the hat. Got neither of the two on my main.

I know this might be "cheating" but is it possible to trade those items via the 2 hour bop system, and if yes, does it count for the achievement?

For the Hallowed Helm it might work, but you need to learn the squashling for the achievement.

Not only that, but they can be traded among party members as long as you were in the fight with them. I got all my achievements the first day of the holiday due to the fact that in the end all i needed was the hallowed helm and one of my friends who had been there for my HH kills traded it to me since there was still time left on it, and she already had one from last year. Boom. Achievement!

Confirmed again. I received the Squashling in a Treat bag and a friend received the Helm the same way. Is it me or does the squashling resemble The Grand Pumpkin from Simpson "Treehouse of Horror"?
I also had 2 of the morphs before the event even started. I recall a few months back being zapped into a skeleton and wondering Wth happened? and who attacked me.
Best thing about this is the easy peasy xp-eezy.. at lvl 68 on my Nelf Druid, I got about 120K just from EK and Kalimdor candy buckets and have yet to do Outlands. That helped me ding and took a few bars out already towards 70. On my 63, now 64 Troll Hunter, it was double xp (altho only 5250-5400 per bucket) but the flying explore was 1200 or so each area, which also helped ding. Gotta love it!
Love the game! Just wish Blizz would stop nerfing so much stuff. Makes myself (and I"m sure players who have been at it way longer) just frustrated how easily you can level and get achievements, drops and run instances.
