WoW Moviewatch: Fading Like a Flower
It's been a while since we've had a belf-based music video on WoW Moviewatch, which makes me pretty happy that today's piece somehow appealed to me on a fundamental level. Fading Like A Flower was created by My Princess Studios for one of her friends. It features that friend's character, although I'm not sure which of the many belfs might have been the recipient of that dedication.
I definitely enjoyed this video. I'm not sure which pieces "did it" for me, but I was ultimately left with a light, fun feeling from Fading Like A Flower. The video's not ostentatious, and it doesn't put on pretentious airs. It's just, fundamentally, about having a little fun.
As far as I can tell, this is the first My Princess Studios video. I'm definitely looking forward to what they do next.

Awesome video! I loved the song, too =)

Are those outfits real in game ones or edited on? I have some bank alts that could use some of those snazzy duds :)

Marie Fredriksson (aka the chick from Roxette) would be rolling over in her grave if she were dead.
Well, not so much at the video, but the music.

i'm sorry to say, but imo that was one of the worst machinima i've ever seen. I can't find a single thing about it I actually like... i dont even like the character visually and i'm normally all about blood elves.

It's okay. I'm just getting really tired of this blood elf dance-video sub-genre.
I can only watch them do that kitty-scratch move so many times. Now, we could use more Tauren and Draenei videos. Those guys have character.

The original Roxette version of the song sounds much better. :-(
Josin Oct 20th 2009 12:44PM
Can't go wrong with Roxette.... except this awful mix. Good grief. Kids today with their caffeine...

On the bright side, I did go to youtube to listen to the original. So some good came of this.

Lol I did too!
In fact I went back and am now listening to the Look Sharp album.

Well played.

Yeah, I can't really understand what's the catch in remixing old classics in to "trendy dance mixes". Because usually they are just horrible, like this one.

Typical Belf Genre garbage

I had to listen to death metal for a straight half hour after this crap

This clip does nothing to sway my general hatred of the belf music video genre. Horrible song? Got it. Repetitive shots of the same stock belf dances over and over again? Got it.
I really like my belf toons, but videos like this make me want to delete them.

Oh god that character is so horribly dressed. D: I wouldn't put on a yellow and blue shirt with red/orange pants unless I was in a clown competition. D:

With Model Viewer, you'd think you could pick any range of outfits, including the wonderfully Blood Elfish gear from Sunwell, and yet, the video is rife with strange and jarring outfits.

HEY GUYS LETS MAKE A FILM WITH LOW-POLY GAME MODELS

Really enjoyed it...yes it's cheesy and the song itself is awful, but the video is well put together (if also cheesy enough to match the song). Also looking forward to seeing what they do next.

I thought this had potential. It needs a little more work, the facials need to match the lyrics a bit better, but for a first attempt it was pretty good...I couldn't do this, how many of you could?
