Bonc asked...
"When we get cross server LFG, what will happen to VoA, for example if I dont have it on my server, can I go to another and get in there, does it go by raid leaders server?"
From what we know, raids are currently not part of the cross-server LFG tool. I know there's been some discussion about having raids be included, but so far it hasn't materialized. Don't expect it to either, something that you need to get multiple people back together for multiple times is exponentially more difficult than a simple 15 to 45 minute dungeon run.
Dath asked...
"In Cataclysm it has been announced that we can fly in Azeroth, but will be we able to fly from the Eastern Kingdoms to Kalimdor on our mounts?"
Probably not. Each continent is on a separate server (from what we've been able to deduce over the years). There's also the problem of the giant maelstrom in the middle of the ocean that all ships avoid.
Robo asked...
"I have the regular physical authenticator. Works great too. However, I'm thinking about getting a iPod Touch, and would like to get the authenticator on that also. Is there anyway I can have both of them on my account? So, like if i went to my friends, i could just take the iPod, and when I'm home, i could use the physical one?"
Nope, you can only have one authenticator attached to an account. You cannot have one account go to multiple authenticators.
Khrann asked...
"Is there an authenticator app for the Blackberry?"
Yes, depending on what kind you have. Check out the compatibility list on Blizzard's site, as well as their authenticator FAQ.
A bunch of you asked today...
"I just got a very authentic looking email inviting me into the closed beta of Cataclysm, is this legit?"
First, thanks for asking. If you ask you're much less likely to make a mistake and find your account hacked. Secondly, no, this isn't a legit email. It looks very real, but the links are to non-Blizzard sites, even though the displayed hyper-reference text says worldofwarcraft.com.
We've gotten a lot of these questions in the past couple of days, so it does appear the hackers have made a new attempt at hacking. But they fail at life, so all is good.

For future reference, there are NO Cataclysm Beta/Alpha invites going out at all - Blizzard will announce an opt-in program before anything.
breaklance Oct 21st 2009 6:17PM
Also as always, if you get a link in an email be sure to type it out rather than just clicking the link. Hackers/Keyloggers can post hyperlinks that look exactly like they should to fake sites.

Well, alpha invites typically go out a bit before the opt-in links go after, if I recall correctly. But no one gets surprised by a F&F alpha invite -- you either know you know someone at Blizzard, or you've got no real prayer of getting in during the very first wave.
And if you know someone at Blizzard, contact them before following the instructions of any WoW-related unsolicited e-mails anyway, just to make sure it's legit.

I thought this beta version of Cataclysm looked a lot like Dragon Warrior II. This explains a lot.

DWII was epic btw.

Hallow's End question: does the Flying Broom count towards any of the mount achievements? I got mine off the Headless Horseman the other day, and I kind of forgot about it until GoGo Mount pulled it up for me a bit later. Since the broom itself doesn't "disappear" like other mounts once you learn them, I thought GoGo wouldn't pick it up. So now I'm wondering if it counts towards my Mountain of Mounts.
Brew Oct 21st 2009 5:15PM
Nope, its an item whose effect is that of a mount, not actually a learnable mount.
It will disappear at the end of the season, as well.
The only real mount from this holiday is the Horseman's mount.
me Oct 21st 2009 5:16PM
No it does not. I have tested it by looking at my mount achievement before and after getting/using the broom and it did not change.
Mike Oct 21st 2009 5:17PM
It does not appear to. I counted my mounts versus what the achievement said I had and it did not include the broom.
J Harrell Oct 21st 2009 11:36PM
Like everyone else says, it doesn't count towards the mount achievements. It is just like the loaned gryphon reins in that regard.

What is the lighted board in the deeprun tram? The board that was the red and blue lines that are constantly moving in no organized pattern.
That place is more barren than the badlands. Do they have any plans to add some npcs behind the counters to at least make it seem more lively?
Brew Oct 21st 2009 5:16PM
I suspect its a throwback to Star Tours... there's a very similar display while in queue for the ride.
peagle Oct 21st 2009 5:29PM
The screen shows where the tram(s) are, hinting at a much larger (unseen) transportation system devised by the gnomes. And its not barren, its full of rats!
themightysven Oct 22nd 2009 12:52AM
there are also four gnomes (one leper, one normal at each station, and one in the mystery lake) and a player neutral Naga
bam

A friend of mine and I actually timed a trip for IF to SW on the tram vs the flight path. Tram won by quite a bit. I don't remember how many minutes (it was a while ago), but after that I always use the tram going between the two.
I've only seen 3 or 4 other toons in all my uses. It always turns into a /dance party too. haha.

""When we get cross server LFG, what will happen to VoA, for example if I dont have it on my server, can I go to another and get in there, does it go by raid leaders server?"
From what we know, raids are currently not part of the cross-server LFG tool"
Nonetheless, the concept of the question still pertains. For example, what about stone keeper's shards? Currently, if I don't have the "essence of Wintergrasp" buff, I don't loot the shards, and I do if I have the buff.
How will that work in cross-server dungeons? Will characters in the same instance either loot them or not depending on the status of their home realm?
Related question, that has maybe been discussed elsewhere: how about summoning? That is, will the cross-server characters only meet up once they're actually in the instance? If so does that mean that there will be no way for part of the group to summon the rest?
Nazgûl Oct 21st 2009 5:18PM
The queue instantly allows people to enter the dungeon. When the group is full, an "Enter" button appears on the interface. When clicked, you teleport in.
FINFIN Oct 21st 2009 5:21PM
Maybe putting the summoning stone inside the instance would solve the problem of summoning multi server raiders.
(cutaia) Oct 21st 2009 6:25PM
My guess is that the "able to loot" thing would be a buff individually applied to each person, and not the dungeon itself.
Think Stratholme. Depending on who's wearing their trinkets, some people can loot scourgestones, while others can't. I think it will be the same effect.
Riley Oct 22nd 2009 3:53AM
I'm assuming that it will be different for each person, depending on if they have WG in their realm
