as a leatherworker, i'm very happy with the cheap leg reinforcements i can put on my stuff, and any armor kits tend to sell pretty well...but i can't think of anything FUN that i can make...even the riding crop went the way of the dodo. even hypothetically speaking, what fun items could a leatherworker make? one thing i can think of would be to craft our own riding harness, which lets you tame any beast in azeroth to be your mount. you'd have to be limited to one riding harness per character so it doesn't get crazy with the number of mounts. that would be cool.
i also always thought tailors should be able to craft costumes...

I agree. I picked up Leatherworking this summer for my shaman, mainly because it was the one profession I had not yet tried. What a snoozefest. I leveled out of any gear I could craft so quickly, it was hardly worth making. I liked the idea of specializations, but there's little point to them in WotLK.
"Heavy Leather Ball." Hmph!

I agree, nothing in LW is fun. My friend had the idea that we should be able to make bear skin rugs to fly around on...which sounds kinda neat :)
