He hasn't done enough to be a Mary Sue yet. All stacked up to be one once he decides to *use* all those powers, quite possibly. But skilled writing and... *points at Jolee Bindo comment* some creative Destiny, and it might turn out just fine.

Thrall isn't so much a Mary Sue because he has an interesting backstory and has clear character faults - more so now his leadership is being challenged. People just think hes classed as a Sue is because he's one of the closest things Warcraft has to a Messiah figure and his fanboys (myself included) think hes a million shades of awesome.
Rhonin, while a clear Sue, I never found overpowered so much as cliched and boring. Knaak's obsession with him was inane, but I find Rhonin's been toned down since he's been put in-game.
