Breakfast Topic: Looking ahead to patch 3.3

So the question today is: what are you most looking forward to? Personally, I remain a fan of the 5-man instances -- I've already run two of them on the PTR, but fighting enemies co-op in a small group like that is really why I play the game. And of course cross-realm LFG will probably be a big part of the excitement for me as well. While I do expect there to be a few issues, hopefully it'll make jumping into a group as quick and easy as possible. And I'm looking forward to that fishing tournament, too -- the last one was a good idea, but hopefully a new implementation will help freshen things up.
What are you looking forward to in patch 3.3?
Patch 3.3 is the last major patch of Wrath of the Lich King. With the new Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons and 10/25-man raid arriving soon, patch 3.3 will deal the final blow to the Arthas. WoW.com's Guide to Patch 3.3 will keep you updated with all the latest patch news.Filed under: Patches, Analysis / Opinion, Fan stuff, Virtual selves, Breakfast Topics, Raiding, Leveling

Considering that I see multiple DPS toons trying to run Heroic Trial of the Champion in the crafted PVP gear, this is a valid point. Please--be ready for the new instances. You can't jump straight from iLvl 176 to iLvl 232 gear.

I'm looking forward to my warlock's new tier graphics.
And Icecrown too, of course. But my lock gets to put on his robe and wizard hat.

Im quite interested in the 5 mans dungeons and how the new lfg will work

I'm looking forward to being able to live in the present for a week or so.
I really hate the way as soon as a patch is released, details of the next are already available so you can't even get used to class changes without already being conscious of future changes. I want the game to be settled for a little while...

Shhh, nobody mention cataclysm for the sake of his sanity!

I can't wait to try out a PvE Frost build for my Mage!

Kicking Arthas' ass in Icecrown Citadel.
As a veteran Warcraft 3 player, I've been waiting for this day for five years.

Time to... kick some ice!

Thank you Arnold Schwarzenegger. :)
But seriously, Mr. Lichy-Frostypants and I have some business to attend to. As an old WC player, he owes me for that big betrayal, and from a geeky RP view, I play a druid, and it's essentially a force of life vs. force of death fight too.
Plus - I really want to see how the story develops. Are the rumored deaths and returns true? How does it all end? Plus, airship vs airship combat!
The LFG thing scares and bothers me a little at first glance.
No major changes that affect my boomkin reality too much, so nothin' there.

I'm looking forward to dethroning the Lich King (finally). There were so many brick walls in Ulduar (pre-nerf Razorscale, anyone?) that I feel stopped a lot of guilds from rolling through the instance the first week, and I really enjoyed that. I hope Icecrown Citadel will do the same.
I'm also liking the sped-up reputation grinds, as my DK needs Sons of Hodir rep pretty badly right now. I picked up inscription on my main so I wouldn't have to grind SoH rep. Ironic, eh?
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this patch, and here's to hoping for a 3.4 out of the blue.

I'm really looking forward to discovering Bolvar's / Saurfang's fate, a PvE Mage frost build and finally another huge raid instance thats as big as BT or bigger hopefully!

I am most looking forward to the new LFG interface, being a casual it will be nice(if it works properly) to find groups more often.
Kia Oct 24th 2009 9:55AM
I'm looking forward to the cross-server LFG. It's impossible to find a group on Moon Guard 90% of the time, so I'm hoping this will make things a bit easier.
I'm also looking forward to the Ashen Verdict title. As a roleplayer whose main works for the Argent Crusade and has a sister in the Ebon Blade at the same time, this is the perfect chance for her to express allegiance with both sides!

The new fishing derby, definitely!
An 8pm fishing contest? OH YES! I work graveyard shift, and the Stranglethorn derby is, to me, the equivalent of most people waking up at 2am on a work night. Even if you DO manage to make it to the contest, you're not functioning at peak capacity because your brain is sleep-fuzzy.
I am DESPERATE for the "Salty" title, and the fishing tourney is the ONLY thing keeping me from it! For the lovely walrus-people I can just go fishing before work, nice and refreshed, and I WILL have that much-coveted title someday! ^_^

Eurgh. I work on Sundays, so the current fishing contest isn't an option for me, and in Europe at least raid instances reset for Wednesdays, so I'll be there most Wednesday evenings. It's kinda another crappy time for me! :(
Icecrown better be awesome.

The one main thing I'm looking forward to is my Hippogryphs having a walking and run animation.
MusedMoose Oct 24th 2009 10:31AM
My main just hit level 80 a week ago. I'm already looking forward to easier rep grinds.

The new Cross-server LFG. Absolutely. It will make it easier to find a group for whatever dungeon i want to run, from RFC (i'm alliance) to any BC instances.
Also, im looking forward the three new 5-man dungeons, with the huge lore, and their ilevel 219-232 items of course.
Since i'm not much of a raider, the change of the emblem of conquest to triumph is amazing; i'll finally be able to get my hands on a full tier set, even if it's not latest.

Cross-realm loot ninjas galore? Something I'm definitely not looking forward to.
