Auction houses broken across Azeroth

Many users have been reporting tonight problems at the auction houses across Azeroth. Those people experiencing the issue are finding that nothing is listed in the AH, or all of their items are gone without a trace. This problem has been going on for about six hours, and only appears to be affecting US realms.
Zorayn has posted that Blizzard is aware of the problem and their network technicians are working towards fixing it.
So sit back, have a glass of wine, and enjoy your Saturday night. Try not to use the AH, because finding all your stuff gone wouldn't be cool (you'll get it back though, I'm sure, if it is gone, one way or another).
We'll update this post when a resolution is announced.
Update: Rolling restarts are being issued to correct the problem. For servers which have been restarted, the issue appears corrected. The opening announcement on the loading screen makes note to say that no items will have been lost during this AH outage.

Looks like that's Zorayn, not Zarhym. Easy mix-up there :)

Has Blizz ever extended auction times for problems like this as compared to the idiots that QQ when they post before maintenance (and it goes long?)

6 of the last 7 days my server (entire data-center, 69 servers) was unplayable due to 'loot-lag'.
And now the AH has been completely inoperable for the last 12 hours and counting. i had about 10k worth of items which are lost.
Oh, and tickets are taking approximately 3 days to fill.....
Im REALLY not happy with blizzard right now.
acct canceled.

also, yes, the AH problems have been going on about double the amount of time Adam reports in the post.

Bye then!

Buh bye. Go have fun with your halfway decent mmo with no glitches.
Actually, I don't know of any.

The beauty of this downtime was that everything on the AH has been reset. Thus, I was able to set the prices for goods when the AH came up. I made 2500 gold in the span of 3 hours, before every idiot came back and started the usual mass undercutting to well below the value of the item.
Still, it was nice while it lasted!

All my auctioneers were killed by marauding alliance. Working as intended?

Something is up.
Quite annoying to be grieved by the lag and lost auctions.
They really need to get this fixed so we could raid without losing so much time on loot.
Thetealone Oct 25th 2009 3:44AM
looks like it's completely fixed but since the whole AH was cleared prices have been jacked up somethign outrageous
Tanglebones Oct 25th 2009 4:34AM
The AH is working (although we had a second big disappearance around 6pm server on Bronzebeard-US), but all the auctions people had in last night are still gone. Prices should get back to normal again whenever Blizz returns the thousands of missing auctions.

THE CATACLYSM IS NIGH !

Now AHs are just a places to store your voidwalker apparently.
Alverian Oct 25th 2009 6:37AM
With all those Warlocks and Voidwalker's there, Christian Belt saw it and went nuts and set fire to the whole place causing the system to melt down. We know how he LIKES Locks.
BTW Christian, I play a Mage..
