Well, there's a few reasons for the big buzz. First, it's Star Wars. The property is everywhere, and is easily one of the most marketed properties in the world. Second, the developer is Bioware, which has a long, long history of making excellent CRPGs with lots of depth and character, and enough story to make SEVERAL novels. Third, it's the first MMO that Bioware has attempted, and they are coming at the game from a different angle. The whole thing is quite exciting to multiple crowds, from the Star Wars crowd to the CRPG crowd, to the MMO crowd that is hearing about all the new things Bioware is trying.
It's exciting. People will talk.
