Totally agree on the comments about macs and lower-spec pc's. My poor ol' laptop simply can't handle the higher demands of other games. Meanwhile, why did I start playing? Because I was bored and lonely, and people I met and liked played wow. My prediction: when we all ditch our desks and socialise with ipod/blackberry/ereaders (or interwebbed contact lenses, or chatty shirt buttons, or ...), it'll be the game that sits easiest on that next platform, that will win :)
