Faction change cooldown reduced

It's interesting to note the effect all this has: you can now more or less freely move around servers and factions without any major consequences. Three days off of raiding isn't a big deal, however two months off if you land in a bad guild after faction transfering your main is quite an issue.
There hasn't been any blue post about this yet, but the information is present on the screens when you undertake a race change, as pictured above.

Seriously, seriously considering taking the Tauren that I changed into a Dwarf and changing it back into a Tauren. I miss my big, so-ugly-she's-actually-kinda-pretty cowgirl!
... sucks to think Blizz might actually get a total of $60 from me on a single toon just because I'm indecisive and make rash decisions. >.

The real question is, why would you ever switch in the first place?

I have toons on both sides, and I love my guilds on each side. Simple fact is that my Alliance-side guild didn't have a single high-level Enchanter, while my Horde-side guild has several, so I brought over my 450 Enchanter to help them out because I didn't have the gold to power-level another Enchanter quickly.
I shouldn't have, though... I mean, my Alliance guild loves having a helpful Enchanter about, but really, it's not worth the fact that I hate playing that toon now, because she's not the proud Tauren that I grew to love.
*shrugs*

I changed my Nelf Druid to Tauren Druid and moved to the realm I have my Hordies on... about 3 days later I joined a really great guild and found we needed a healer desperately... As my Druid was on the 60 day cooldown, I ended up leveling my 43 Priest to 80 in about 12 days. I really, really missed my Druid, though.
As soon as I read this on WoW.com, I hightailed it over to the official website and completed the faction change from Horde to Alliance. WooHOOOOOOO! So now we have two healers and other people are leveling healers so I'll also be able to dps with my Priest and Druid.
Love it!

" you can now more or less freely move around servers and factions without any major consequences."
At $30 (approx) each time, I would say that is a consequence this cheap skate won't do.

Blizz, don't kid yourself. Just remove the CD.
Everything that starts off at a long CD eventually goes down to basically no time.

So how long until "Dual Faction" is implemented?
lol

So glad - I had until Nov 4th to on my Priest, but now I can switch back to alliance right away. Back to dwarf? Draenei? Hmm.

The restrictions in your photo all refer to race change and not faction change. Is it really gonna be 3 days?

Says : "Faction Change or Race Change"
Kittywulfe Oct 27th 2009 9:49PM
How about that... I saw "race change" in all the other lines, but totally missed it in the most obvious one! lol

Abercrombie Fitch began in 1892 under the name David T. Abercrombie Fitch Co. It was a small waterfront shop and factory in New York City. The founder, David Abercrombie, was a former trapper, prospector, topographer, and railroad surveyor. His love for the great outdoors influenced his store, Abercrombie & Co., and was dedicated to camping, fishing, and hunting gear. His clientele consisted mostly of hunters and explorers. Ezra Fitch, a lawyer in New York crossed paths with Abercrombie & Co. in his search for outstanding outdoor gear. In 1900 Abercrombie became Abercrombie Fitch and Ezra became a partner.
