The problem with your comment is that u need the necessary requirement to disenchant, if the item requires 275 say, someone in your group has to have 275 or more to d/e. In addition the item that becomes d/e, is rolled for and then distributed to the highest bidder, making for a smooth operation. This will eliminate waiting for the disenchanter at the end of the instance to distribute the mats, or in some cases ninja the mats.
So dropping a profession or just learning enchanting at its basic level won't make u a 275 or more enchanter/ess.
