I think what he meant was that, owing to the ease with which one can respec a druid from tank to healer or dps, when there exists an imbalance of classes at endgame (e.g. when there are a shedload of tanks wandering around), druids are likely to respec away from tank to something more in demand.He wasn't in any way complaining about the state of the druid, merely commenting on the fact that owing to fluidity of purpose trends in druid specs give a good indicator of more general problems of class distribution. (i.e. the bear is disappearing not because it's bad, but because healers are much more in demand than tanks at the moment).
