Toothpick and pet... Grrrr, I hate RNG achivements. Brewfest was quite a grind, but at least you knew how much time it would take. Hallow's End is just a stupid lottery

It's the cloth helm for me. Finally saw it drop, and I lost the roll to someone who already had it. And since people were exploiting the achievement, it's the person that loots the helm that gets credit for it. I don't understand why the toothpicks are soulbound and non-tradeable and yet the helm isn't a unique item. I only need once toothpick the entire holiday, I must have been given 100. Let me give them away instead of destroying them.

the guild actually just put up a new "bonus episode" this morning. TRICK OR TREAT!

That's weird, 'cos I'm CONSTANTLY getting toothpicks! All I need is the hat and pet and some hollow jack o lanterns for an orc and a troll. Looks I'll be killing the horseman quite a bit this week.

Toothpick? Bah to those. I want the darn Headless Horseman's mount! I have not seen it drop at all this year, and I've been bringing all 5 of my level 80 characters (although I only want it on my main - my rogue).
SpaceGoatPriest Oct 27th 2009 10:27AM
Yea I have not seen the mount drop once this year. I did however finish everything on my main (Priest), and he got his pink drake (at least its not pink in shadowform).
Due to my guild and friends being awesome, I also completed it on my little pally I am leveling. So I have level 40 pally that is 'the Hallowed'. :)

I hate those darn toothpicks. I have 60 of them on my bank/ah alt, 30 on my main that had the achievement from last year, and 0 on my alt that I'm trying to get the achievement on this year.

Realms aren't up as advertised by Blizzard.

I'm drowning in toothpicks and Flimsy Male Dwarf Masks (I've gotten 5 of them!), but that god damn Hallowed Helm eludes me. I've been Trick or Treating as much as I can and doing the dailies, and I've seen it drop once. I tried seeing if the guy who won it could trade it to me for the achievement, but no luck, so I just have to hope and pray. And curse those damn Innkeepers. I swear, there was one day where I ToT'd 8 times and got only one Treat Bag.
I'm going to be super pissed if this holiday ends and I don't have the meta just because of this one stupid item. Please Blizzard, change the achievement to the pet OR the helm.
Kylenne Oct 27th 2009 1:07PM
This, only in my case, it's the damn pet. I got the helm from the gift box, and ToTing has been particularly fruitless--nothing but tooth picks and masks. :\
Microtonal Oct 27th 2009 1:32PM
I am also not a big fan of RNG holidays. It's worked out OK for me so far (I had lovefest done in just a few days), but this one is being a bitch.
All I need is the stupid helm. I've gotten two squashlings, seven or eight masks, a dozen wands, more toothpicks than I can shake a toothpick at, and a bunch of freaking candy that nobody wants.
artifex Oct 28th 2009 4:47AM
I have the title now, but am still working on the masks. Only have 4 or 5.
