Just got done leveling my rogue to 80. This is a great leveling 'guide' for its simplicity; most of the others I've read offer too much detail. A minor quibble: I leveled as Combat and I didn't find it boring; you have plenty of choices.

A big part of this is Riposte, which I would recommend for leveling as Combat. It's not a level 80 tool -- as a rogue, you don't want things hitting you if you can help it -- but you can use it a lot in leveling. As such, it's a great attack with low energy cost, as well as a useful debuff. Plus, combat is more interesting when you're using a reactive ability like this. Add in choices like Kick and Dismantle, and you have a lot of reactive choices that keep life interesting.

As you keep working on the leveling guide, I would really encourage a guide for "you've dinged 80 - now what?" That's IMHO a lot more challenging then leveling. Suddenly you have to get new gear, change specs, use different abilities and different rotations, etc.
