Around Azeroth: Get me to the church on time
After guildmates Limaan and Miszy of <Low Landers> on Stormrage-EU got married out in that nebulous meat space known as the real world, their in-game friends decided to throw them a virtual wedding in Azeroth. The best part of WoW weddings? They can be as opulent as you want and no one has to pay for it. In this photo, snapped by Minae, the happy couple heads for their honeymoon on their "Just Married" motorcycle. The most startling thing about this photo is the blood elf in the background who is not attempting to ruin everything. Cross-faction cooperation for a special event? Who would have thought?
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

I agree. That Blood Elf is quite startling.

At least they didn't pick a contested snowy zone to hold the event in, unlike a certain other unfortunate fiasco...

Just fyi stormrage eu is a pve realm, so the belf wouldnt be able to attack anyway.
I miss stormrage used to be my old server, it always had a great community :(

Personally I just thought this was an orb of deception.

I bet he's a friend of the newly weds. I don't see the HUGE shoulders or any other gear on. Looks like he's wearing a simple robe.

So wait, two girls got married? Hot!
aphr0 Oct 30th 2009 10:22AM
In case the new couple reads this, I just wanted to say congratulations! And I wish you both a long and happy life together.
Matchu Oct 30th 2009 10:26AM

Looks like the Orb of deception BE model to me. Just sayin..
Manorton Oct 30th 2009 10:33AM
Yes, its a Dra with the orb, that is EXACTLY how he looks transformed :) And grats to the couple.
Verit Oct 30th 2009 1:12PM
I have the orb, my character doesn't look like that however. The orb does change the look of your gear sadly.

Props to them! Oddly, on an rp realm, I've never actually seen any weddings take place...hm. Any clue as to whether or not they're both female offline as well? Even bigger props to them, if so, given the challenges. Not really looking forward to jumping through those hoops myself. ._.

Raynier Oct 30th 2009 2:37PM

"Oddly, on an rp realm, I've never actually seen any weddings take place...hm."
I have.
In fact, when I used to RP on my Human priest, I did a few wedding ceremonies in my time, with proper readings and ceremony, vow exchanges and blessing.
It was actually a fun thing to do, as I only did ceremonies for people I knew were serious about their RP Wedding. (And if that disturbs you, eh, good for you.)

Great picture! Congrats to the happy couple!

I can't recommend getting married to anyone. I am still married now but would never do it again. Once I positively enough for me.
Skonged Oct 30th 2009 2:21PM
Yes that's right. Vote me down over my personal strife with marriage. Makes me feel better.
Anaughtybear Oct 30th 2009 4:14PM
Don't feel bad, I don't plan on posting much here anymore, as it happens to me every time. No matter what I say. If the uneducated mobs here don't like you, they'll try to burn you at the stake for being a witch. Just pretend you can't read and stay in your hut.

Marriage success really depends on the people involved, and the many variables that come with that.
Some say "never do it", some say "it was the best decision I've made".
And as for you, Anaughtybear, I've seen you get picked on a few times and I totally agree with you... anything against popular thought gets downranked into the darkness.
Though if I remember right, you play Horde, and thus, I must light you aflame. /cast frostfire bolt!!
