Ensidia, now of Tarren Mill-EU,
reported today that they have captured the world-first
A Tribute to Immortality. Considered to be one of the most difficult, if not most difficult, raiding achievements currently in the game, A Tribute to Immortality requires a perfect run of heroic Trial of the Crusader-25 with no player deaths and all 50 attempts remaining. The reward for pulling this off is the
Crusader's Black Warhorse (Alliance version
here), but I wouldn't expect to see too many of these running around in the near future.
I'm most impressed that they managed to get through the heroic version of Faction Champs without losing anyone, although -- as Mackzter acknowledges on the news release -- the achievement "involves a bit of luck." Congratulations to Ensidia, and best of luck to all the guilds out there working on this as well!

Gz to them on another world first and nice to see it happen before 3.3 comes out.
I wonder if Blizz will eventually come up with an achievement that will prove impossible even for the best out there.

They could make any number of impossible things in the game.
What would be the point?
Oh sure, things like the Hogger boss that was put in at some convention event are "fun" but they're not serious. There's only so much of the Kobayashi Maru that anybody can take.

"A Tribute to Invincibility"
In Trial of the Grand Crusader, reach a Tribute Chest with 50 attempts remaining and without allowing any raid member to take any damage or any healing during any of the boss encounters in 25-player mode.
Reward: Pet Squirrel"
Yes, I imagine this would be impossible for even the best of the best.

Reps, bad! You left a loop-hole in there! All you need for that is 10/25 ret paladins in the highest gear possible from the next expansion (or after it), min-maxed to the extreme, and then have them all pop divine shield and their deeps trinkets.
You could throw a shaman in for Bloodlust/Heroism, but he'd have to be really careful and/or DSed right before the fight and right after blowing BL.

I would personally love to see:
"Reach the Tribute Chest in 25-Player Hard-Mode with 50 Attempts Remaining, without anyone in the raid wearing higher than ilvl226 gear."
Oh gooody! I'd love to see guilds trying to run ToC with flimsy health pools and 'old school' Naxx gear XD
Marcosius Nov 3rd 2009 7:50AM
Reps, that's not actually impossible. Just bring 25 ret paladinds. Bubble FTMFW.

Gratz!
Street Justice Nov 1st 2009 6:07PM
Gratz to them i guess, and to think, everyone had written Ensida off.

Hey, I thought this game was easy, what happened?
Looks as if it's not as easy as all the whiners want everyone to think.
Utakata Nov 1st 2009 7:57PM
Lol. Actually Nick, you don't even have to go that far with poking holes in the game 2EZY arguement...
...just mention Heroic Oculus. That even sends the well geared screaming with their tail between their legs. :)
QQinsider Nov 2nd 2009 6:43AM
Occulus hc is easy except for well-geared idiots.
Agree with the original point though.
theRaptor Nov 2nd 2009 9:41AM
The whining was that normal modes were too easy. It was about keeping people out of content. And yes this is "easy" compared to vanilla and BC were several encounters were straight out broken and the top guilds were paying to beta test.
Alanid Nov 1st 2009 6:11PM
Congrats to them! Shame the horses look all freaky. I thought the days of World of Clowncraft ended with TBC.
jtrain Nov 1st 2009 6:15PM
Too bad Cata will make all riding mounts obsolete. I'm all about flying mounts in Azeroth, but a side effect will be that any/all riding mounts will be rarely, if ever, used.
Randomize Nov 1st 2009 6:27PM
@Jtrain
Ground mounts will still be required for all the bgs, and probably in Cataclysm's wintergrasp replacement. That being said, i wouldnt want to walk around on the horde horse ever, ill stick with my pally horse
skyman4321 Nov 1st 2009 6:42PM
I like BC Clowns =D
But anyway, it would have been a really cool flying mount idea. not too sure, but maybe a flying Nerubian or something? hmm....
Arslan Nov 1st 2009 6:14PM
Really pleased for them as they've been unlucky with world firsts lately, they put a lot of effort in so I bet they're glad it paid off for this one!
breaklance Nov 1st 2009 6:28PM
gratz to ensidia, and re-claiming their world 1 position.
was a little shocked they weren't garnering a lot more world firsts in both ToGC's.
