Fail Druid is awesome

Annnd just like that, Battlemasters lost me. I'm naturally Alliance-biased, but seeing her, apparently, knocked out of the picture by a guy that for all intents and purposes isn't even a -good- blood elf, well. Meh. Hope things take a turn for the better.
I hope this guy is just a singular jackass and not the interpretation of blood elves in general, too.

I don't get the hate for Vengealis. He acted as a spy. And honestly, he just did what James Bond always does, and not many people hate James Bond for it.
Espionage =/= jackass.

Oh, come on. The "arrogant Blood Elf stereotype" is averted so much that people lose sight of the fact that it's one of their defining traits as a species. Orcs are warlike and furious, Tauren are nature loving but gruff, Trolls are blood thirsty but usually easy going.... Blood Elves think the world revolves around them. That's not an insult, that's a fact. If you don't cling to these stereotypes at least a little, or, worse yet, go the "Drizzt Path" and fight furiously to avert them, I think the characters lose something, sometimes.
It doesn't have to consume the character, but I think it hurts nothing for it to still be there. Besides that, they're fighting to death: the Draenei's not some poor little girl incapable of defending herself: she's a Death Knight just as hellbent on killing him as he is her.

Also, from the looks of it, the Tauren's the only knocking her out of the picture. The Blood Elf just give him a pick-me-up so that he could. =)

I didn't say the espionage was the reason for jackassery (though if you think I'm going to support his love 'em and leave 'em for it, that's another story). It's the fact he's been an arrogant sonofabitch this entire strip. If this is the main character I can look forward to, count me out.

Now hold on, what happened to Basic Campfire?
Oteo Nov 1st 2009 1:41PM
Basic Campfire is a flipflopper.
Oteo Nov 1st 2009 1:41PM
Who gave Fail Druid that dangerous surface area-minimizing, volume-maximizing machine?!
Agerath Nov 1st 2009 2:24PM
Ugh, B^Uckley's "work" being appreciated by the masses.
The mind boggles.
Marcosius Nov 1st 2009 3:03PM
Then again Battlemasters & WoW Eh have found fans, so it's not all that bad.
Cadychan Nov 1st 2009 3:12PM
Ouch, dude. :p lol...
To each his own, I guess.

While you may or may not like those two comics, they are at least works by the artists. I don't know a whole bunch about Buckly, but I do know his comics are all copy and pasted pieces used over and over again. That and he's very hostile towards any criticism, constructive or not.
Zach Nov 1st 2009 9:57PM
@Cadychan - I think Marcosius was trying to compliment the comics... or am I reading it wrong? lol. I guess I'm just an optimist that way.

Noobz has obviously never played Oblivion. Unique characters you kill in there stay dead forever (bandits and marauders will respawn, shopkeepers and city citizens will not). Just ask the pile of corpses I left in the trade district of the Imperial City >:D

Is it just me, or did Cadistra in WoW, Eh? get a boob job?
Cadychan Nov 1st 2009 8:41PM
It's the costume, I assure you. ;)
