Yes, the current loot system, at least in my opinion, is flawed in this way; however, that does not mean it should be exploited whenever possible. Loot systems in wow are like diamonds: some are better than others, but you can find a flaw in anything if you look closely enough. Rather than trying to exploit the system in place (by giving you guildie 3x the chances for 1x the effort), players should attempt to make it work with their integrity.

On a side note, your comment shouldn't be voted down for having an opposing point of view to that of the general public.
