Certainly liking the new meeting stone upgrade.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who zoned in on that change.
This is a change I've been wanting for a while. Nothing is more annoying when trying to run a low level alts through an instance. Not only can they not summon you but you can't summon them either. Being too high to use a summoning stone you were able to use at one point makes no sense to me.
Kirkules Nov 3rd 2009 7:31PM
Awesome change, but sure could have used it during Hallows End. Being Alliance the trip to Scarlet Monastery every day was such a pain.

You said druid in the intro paragraph instead of warlock.
Other than that, all these patch notes have gotten me excited for this next patch!
Chuck Nov 3rd 2009 7:23PM
There's no druid changes >.>

GG Lay on Hands. =(
marco Nov 3rd 2009 7:50PM
Instead of 3 lives you now only have 2.
joel Nov 3rd 2009 8:55PM
i know!
This means that we'll probably get some offensive abilities to make up for the loss of one of our lives which are required if a pally wants to defeat a dpser of another class!!!!!!
eri Nov 3rd 2009 9:00PM
the fact that they needed 3 lives to kill you once indicates that they aren't the ones who need a nerf...
joel Nov 3rd 2009 9:02PM
What Eri said. >:P
traptinacivicsi Nov 3rd 2009 9:10PM
As a prot pally this works for me.
When that moment comes, where you are about to die, you can hit this or bubble. With bubble dropping aggro anyway, I'd be using this as I do now, yay!
thebitterfig Nov 3rd 2009 9:51PM
RE paladins: LoH and Divine Protection (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=498) will now be mutually exclusive. I'd call this a deadweight loss for paladins. damn pvp-nerfs messing up pve play, even when they are needed pvp nerfs.
when will bliz learn how to fix imbalanced pvp things right so that they don't screw over pve players?
Dreyden Nov 3rd 2009 10:00PM
@ thebvp
Wtb Blessing of Protection? 50% damage reduction, no aggro drop.
Personally, I don't like the change at all; and my main isn't even a Paladin. I (and the rest of you) know damn well we can kill Ret Paladins (of similar gear level) so long as they don't chain their cooldowns, which they cannot do now because of them being homogenized where you have to pick one. Next they're gonna make Ardent Defender proc Forbearance, so that if you get down from a mistaken pull or something you won't be able to survive through a second burst.
I don't like this at all, I play a healer in my guild raids where the main tank is a Paladin, whom (now uselessly) was very good at chaining his cooldowns for Hardmodes.
I very much hope that this will be taken out before the patch goes live.
Angus Nov 4th 2009 1:25AM
traptinacivicsi : You are an idiot.
Bubble wall puts forbearance on us.
If I use my Divine Protection, then use LoH I can save a raid from a wipe. This screws that.
It also screws us in a major way when it comes to healers.
A Holydin panics and hits their LoH. Well, they JUST TURNED OFF MY DIVINE PROTECTION!!
Let me repeat this for those not following at home. MY cooldown can be shut off by someone that isn't me.
They don't do this to Barksin, Shield wall, or any of the DK CDs.
The most common tank healer is now not someone I want healing me.
Helig, this is AWFUL. Seriously, crap. I don't want any offensive crud if it means I am no longer tanking. Because believe me, the first time I die because I couldn't chain 2 tanking CDs (shield wall and last stand going to do this too?) then the warrior is up or the DK. And the fact that the holydin can use LoH on them without worrying about removing their CD is another game breaker.
evanmbunnell Nov 4th 2009 3:16AM
@Angus: Someone who /needs/ to use Lay on Hands to heal me is not someone I want healing me either. The only downside I see to this is that LoH and Divine Protection will not be usable together or within a 2 minute(¿wtf?) period of each other, which I'm sure/hoping will get straightened out.
Your qualm, however, does not seem relevant.
Quick Fix: Say, "Hey, Holydin. No matter what happens, don't cast Lay on Hands on me."
Granted, you shouldn't need to tell your healer(s) this, but there are lots of things in this game we shouldn't need to do, but we do anyways because that's how the mechanics work.
Jack Miles Nov 4th 2009 9:01AM
@thebitterfig
How often do you Have to use LoH and bubble within 2 minutes of each other, on yourself, in a raid? If you're having to do that, something has gone Very wrong, and LoH or no you're still going to die. This is a fair and needed PvP nerf (or in your words, a 'dead weight' loss), which doesn't affect you're PvE (nerf/loss of an ability != bad, since you wouldn't be using it anyway); stop QQing.
Bond Nov 4th 2009 9:37AM
Another quick fix for healadins wanting to LoH the tank. Beacon the tank and use LoH on someone else. O.o
Mordockk Nov 4th 2009 11:06AM
Well that sucks if a holy pally hits lay on hands on the prot pally in a fight but I will say I don't think there is any need to QQ, most likely wont go live because of that factor and you have by far the greatest passive talent in the history of the game......... Ardent Defender. It's ridiculous how many times doing hardmodes that our palladin tank was like....umm guys I just died come on pick up the heals....
James O Nov 4th 2009 11:57AM
Enough QQing. I see great pally healers in raids (in TOGC mind you) who dont even touch LoH. This was a defensive nerf plain and simple, Paladins on live servers can survive far too much punishment in both PvE and especially PvP. Enough wings, then bubble then LoH while you go around raping the competition. Its one of the reasons cleave teams are so successful and Paladin's have one of the highest representations of any class in arena.
No you will not be any getting attentional offensive power because (and again I've witnessed this first hand as I'm sure blizzard has too) Paladins can rape in raids on the dps charts in the hands of an adequate player.
So suck it up and move on and start to learn to rely less upon the Shield>LoH combo (shame on you if you've gotten into the habit of doing in PvE!).
