If you think it's manipulative, just don't buy one. Nothing about this new policy in any way forces you to spend money.For that matter, how is this different than buying a Collector's Edition of WoW to get the special pet, extra art, etc. In that case you always spend extra money for no tangible in-game benefits.I have no intention of buying most of these pets (I may buy the monk, the charity idea is excellent), but I certainly don't care if other people buy them. I personally draw the line at real money conferring true advantages in the game. Up to that point, I really couldn't care less what people choose to spend their money on.
