They helped Ezra because it made Blizzard look good. People praised them for it, and if people think a company is "good", then perhaps they'll be more likely to buy their products. It's just good PR.
Besides, what choice did they have? A dying kid's wish was to hang out with them. Blizzard would've looked horrible if they refused, which would've been bad for business.
