Maintenance for several realms tomorrow morning

There is no indication as to what this maintenance corrects, and there hasn't been any widespread reports of realm or connectivity issues (at least that we've heard). So who knows why the realms are getting fixed tomorrow morning, but they are.
The realms will remain active and playable during this maintenance, but some stability issues may occur!

Interestingly enough, the realms will apparently remain playable during this maintenance.

Can someone smack this spammer with the banhammer please? I keep bumping into this crap, why on earth do people think it's ok or even sensible to do this. Does anyone respond to these ad-spams with anything other than irritation?
While you're at it you might as well scrub tyhis as well, I'm not exactly on topic.

Frostmane has been laggy with lagspikes tonight
Phaea Nov 5th 2009 11:56PM
Kil'Jaeden has had a lot of lag problems as well, especially in Northrend and even more so in Icecrown.

Bronzebeard went loco at about 6:15 server. My guild was trapped in time with a frozen Jaraxxus.

Ah, alphabetical order, how I miss you sometimes.

Hi Jason, Jason here - and you know what? I was just thinking that exact same thing.
Weeeeeeeird!!
nieboh Nov 6th 2009 8:56AM
A non-Jason agrees with you both. Also my first thought.

"So who knows why the realms are coming down tomorrow morning, but they are."
No, they're not. If you would read the post Rishgur says, "we expect all realms to remian [sic] playable"
julian.nichols Nov 5th 2009 11:15PM
Way to go, Blizzard.
Knock out all of the Oceanic realms for four hours during prime evening raiding time. That makes two nights out of seven that we haven't been able to raid, what we were paying for again? I repeat the call for Oceanic servers to be located in Oceania. We are sick of suffering high latency and evening downtime.
kia Nov 5th 2009 11:19PM
The realms are still playable.

@Tonedeaf:
From the launcher http://launcher.worldofwarcraft.com/alert:
"During this time we expect all realms to remain playable but players may experience occasional stability issues."
They don't actually use the term "downtime" in their alert.

I can verify that Thaurissan (Oceanic) as listed, has been having atrocious lag-issues. Raiding has been off-the cards for a solid 4-days. The lag spikes at the usual places (Wintegrasp, Dalaran). Pretty much my only options were to hang out with the Oracles and gank lowbies. Two hobbies I haven't really had the time to do lately, it's actually been a fun few days. Well, fun for me, probably slightly less fun if you happened to be trying to level your pretty new NElf in Darkshore on Thaurissan. Good times ;-p

arg.. for us aussies that means they go down at 10pm on a friday night... poop :(
Lucidien Nov 5th 2009 11:25PM
^^ This. I did notice. A nice little system we take for granted on realm-status pages and WoW's alerts.

Well, Trial of the Grand Crusader glitched out on us tonight. Killed the beasts, went to start Jarraxxus only to have the NPC tell us that Grand Warlock Fizzlebanks will not arrive until next week. When a GM got back to us he told us we needed to remain outside the instance for 35 minutes. Go figure.
