It's a "hot potato" if Blizzard is culturally incensitive, and dresses them in Japanese style clothing or makes them generic oriental stereotypes.

Blizzard is smart enough not to do that again. They discussed this at the Austin 2006 GDC. As you can see, the Pandaren all now dress in Chinese clothing.
