I think you missed a few things regarding the voidwalker in this article. While he makes a great tank for leveling and soloing, he is also - in my opinion - very useful in raids and heroics. Specifically, the sacrifice shield and the suffering ability (for both taunting adds and the hit chance reduction it brings). It is my minion of choice for fights like The Black Knight (taking pressure off of healers in phase 3), Mimiron (phase 2, 3 and 4), XT Deconstructor and Anub'arak. In the Anub'arak fight, specifically, the voidwalker is extremely useful - in addition to absorbing damage during the tricky third phase (while I life tap to stay under 50 percent health), it makes a great adds tank for the scarabs, helping ensure fewer raid members recieve that nasty DOT they apply. I also use him on Gluth in Naxx. If a zombie chow or two make it into the casters, I use the VW to grab it and run it to the tank in the back.
