WoW Moviewatch: WoW Night featuring Wick & Sharm
WoW Night featuring WIck and Sharm is a new music video from Yumfries. (Whenever I see that name, I always think "Yummm, fries!" I'm not sure if that's the point of the name, though, so I always feel guilty for it.)
This isn't really my kind of music, so I feel unable to adequately review that aspect. I will point out that Sharm (also known as TaintedLore) has always been fantastic in previous performances, so I have to assume the music crew knew what they were doing. This is, of course, another team-up featuring Wick, whom I feel we're starting to get to know as a performer.
The video itself, however, is absolutely astounding. It has a lot of the same composite layering of images and action that we've seen before from Yumfries, but I continue to be fascinated by how the machinimist's skills have grown. Even if the music weren't entertaining, I could be satisfied to turn the audio off and simply watch the complex action happen. The amount of work and inspiration Yumfries puts into these videos really make them works of art, and I always look forward to each new piece.

The original Black Eyed Peas version of this song is one of my guilty pleasures. :'(

Never much cared for the song, had to skip past the intro 'cause it sounded off-beat. But it quickly got cute, and I just enjoyed the lyrics.
"Even my cat plays, he likes to wipe raids"... must play a DK tank!
Kidding... love my DK friends, but too many DK players think that it's easy to tank and it ain't!

It's not much of a song, as it kinda repeats itself for a good two minutes, then throws some extra stuff in, repeats, etc.
BUT, I still prefer it to the original.
As for the video, it reminds me of the last time I got high :P

That was machinimazing! The song was kind of "meh" but the video itself displayed some awesome skills. Good job, creator of this video.

So that's what counts as an entertaining song these days, eh?
K. Room for everyone in the world, I guess :)

You used to be pretty logical. Now I see your computer got hacked and someone is destroying your reputation.
RIP the real RetPallyJil
PS: This is only one kind of music out today. It is known as "Pop". There also exists such genres as "Punk", "Rock", "Metal", "Hip-Hop/rap" for the most recent stuff, If you don't care about age, I'd suggest: "Classic Rock", "Baroque", "Classical", "Opera".

As I said, there's room for all kinds. Last I checked, I'm free to not like a song. And who are you to tell me different?

Loved it.

The singing wasn't anything to write home about, but the animation was good.
Hairfish Nov 9th 2009 11:42PM
The three-year-old melted me. It was impossible not to like whatever followed her.
Fun video, and I liked this version of the song. It's just the the singers seemed to be holding back. Or tired. Or something. Step back from the mic and belt it out ~ you've got good voices. :)
