Last day for non-Battle.net accounts to log on

Just go and merge your account(s) while you're on your break and reading this! It takes almost no time, the process is painless, and you get a small flightless bird that serves no useful purpose. If you don't take care of it now, don't say we didn't warn you when you log in tomorrow and you're spending an extended amount of time with Roary McFrostwyrm.
We're not legally liable for the damage that might cause. We've done our part. The rest is up to you.
The account management page is over here. For those of you who've already merged your account, just read the next post. Don't stare. These guys were just busy, that's all.

All this post needs is an image of a Mr Chilly with a tear coming down from his eye and it would be perfect.
Tori Nov 10th 2009 7:15PM
Well now I had to make that... xD

Does it make me a bad person if I cannot wait for the QQ storm that will inevitably come?
Rapskallion Nov 10th 2009 6:15PM
I don't understand what the QQ is about. So Blizz wants to centralize their user authentication system... so what? I converted the day it was released and haven't had a problem.
If there is an actual justified reason for QQ I'd like to hear it.
Leviathon Nov 10th 2009 6:29PM
Yea after we tested it during WotLK's Beta I was looking forward to them doing it on the Live realms for the pet alone :p
Xevius Nov 10th 2009 6:41PM
nah,
I don't think it makes you a bad person.
some qq can be funny to read every now and then.
Klapaucius5691 Nov 10th 2009 6:13PM
That would be perfect yes. I agree with Ezlo.

I'm waiting to see forum posts from confused people that have no idea as to why they can't log on.
It seems that reguardless of how many days/weeks/months of advance warning a person gets... (all posted in numerous places, numerous ways, numerous times) there will ALWAYS be a group of slow witted cavepeople who somehow miss the memo.
Arthomis Nov 10th 2009 6:49PM
100% agree some people have lost the ability to read and comprehend then they blame everyone around them for not knowing.
Noscy Nov 10th 2009 6:59PM
What the Berlin Wall was taken down? No body said any thing...
Terry Nov 10th 2009 8:08PM
Heck, there are still people every tuesday that post on the forums and wonder why they can't login. Read?! What's that?

I'm with Rapskallion, I upgraded pretty much as soon as I heard about it, and I never had any problems with Battle.net. The only half-way compelling argument I've heard against upgrading is that if you have multiple accounts, Blizzard can ban them all in one fell swoop if you consolidate them under a Battle.net account. Doesn't really work for me though, as I only have the one account, and I generally don't operate under the principle that Blizzard may arbitrarily ban me without warning.
Vendric Nov 10th 2009 6:55PM
Me too. In addition to the penguin pet, I participated in the Battle-Bot promotion too that had to have a battle.net account. So I got two pets from converting early.
Cyno01 Nov 10th 2009 6:43PM
Wait, so why doesnt my TV work now?
Noscy Nov 10th 2009 8:47PM
Count yourself as lucky, I feel for those unfortunate people with Non Battle net pacemakers

"We're not legally liable for the damage that might cause"
Yeah - what the hell are you talking about now?
Queso Nov 10th 2009 6:56PM
What if the account wasnt orginally yours?
I didnt buy my wow account, I had a roomate that had WoW and wasnt intrested, and I reactivated his, and have been playing his account ever since. His highest level toon was a level 10 UD Warrior, incase your wondering.
Anyway I have no access to his email. But access to the whole wow account.
Can I still upgrade it to a bnet account?
Vendric Nov 10th 2009 7:00PM
Yes. I did this with my wife's account. A friend was quitting the game and she wanted to start playing with me, so she took over the account. Just set up a battle.net account and put the login/pw of the WoW account into the bnet area and it's done.
