Patch 3.3: The Oculus receives a welcome nerf

Well, it looks like all of us are in luck. In the latest Patch 3.3 PTR patch notes update, the Oculus got its very own section! Check this out.
- Many bosses and creatures have had their total health reduced.
- Several bosses and creatures have had cooldowns on specific abilities increased, effect durations reduced, and damage on some of these abilities reduced.
- Ring-Lord Conjurers and Sorceresses now hang out in packs of 4 instead of packs of 5.
- Vehicle scaling on the drakes based on the rider's item level has been increased to make them more powerful.
Oh, and quick thing. "Oculus" has one C in it. Just the one. Spread the word.

I don't think this nerf comes because Blizzard thinks that Oculus is too hard; I think it comes because Oculus has such horrible memories for most of us. I mean, seriously- is it so wrong to not want to mess with a bunch of weird crap just for an instance? And to the people who are QQing that blizzard "bowed to the masses," do you remember what it was like the very first time you entered a confusing place? Whether it was Oculus or The Undercity? Think of that feeling. You got over it after you went there a few times, right?
Only people DON'T go to Oculus a few times because it's a royal pain in the butt. Sure it's easy once you know your way around and know the fights and have competent people and know what the bosses do, but when you *don't* it's a pain in the butt and can turn into a wipe-fest really easily, which is why no one does it.
Same goes for Old Kingdom and Azol Nerub. Neither of them is *that* hard - but one wrong move and there is a wipe, which is something a lot of people will leave a group over.

Yes, please, no more spamming /2 with "LFG occ." It's technically "oc."
Anyway, I never found Oculus hard, but it's ridiculously annoying and I believe the vehicle mechanics are completely unnecessary.

oc is easy, so is maly. the hardest part of oc is figuring out where to go next and GETTING PEOPLE TO LISTEN. but that's impossible in wotlk. god how i miss pre bc content =(

I think regardless of the nerf's you will find a lot of people that still don't mind or hate this instance. It really doesn't have much to do with (at least for me) the trash/hp/scaling of the mobs as its more an instance layout and drake gimmick thing for me.
I'll definitely give Oculus another try with the nerf and see if I do end up being on the don't mind side of things but as far I dislike Oculus.

Vehicle combat is the worst mechanic that Blizz ever introduced. Nothing tops it.
Get rid of it now. I don't care that it's integral to a couple of encounters and OC. Delete OC from the game, and drop the other encounters.
If I’m not using my toons abilities I don't want to d it. I didn't choose to roll an amber drake to play I choose a druid.
The only way to fix this is let you use your abilities while mounted. Then it wouldn't be so bad.
Similar to “The Drakkensryd” quest during the sons of Hodir quest line. But not have to use the harpoon.
