I find it pretty easy to talk about healing. Its not a process of pattern so much as a process of holding a lot of knowledge and using it to make triage decisions. I then tell people what some of the most common things I keep in mind are, and then give them some examples from specific fights and what I've seen, and stress to them that the most important thing they can do is find a UI set-up where they feel comfortable getting the information they need and responding fluidly.
