WoW Insider Show Episode 115: Use your i-mage-ination

I am pretty flabbergasted by all of the pictures you listeners have sent in to our podcast -- it seems we've got listeners all over the globe who do all kinds of different things while listening to the show. In other words, we've got eyes everywhere, including Gormal, an 80 hunter from the Villiage Idiots on Quel'dorei. He found this boat on the way to work, and suggests to us it might actually be Ghostcrawler's famous yacht. Why is it dry-docked? GC's working hard on Cataclysm, of course -- who has time for sailing when paladins need nerfing? Lots more reader pictures in our gallery below.
And oh yeah, there's a show, too. Christian Belt was kind enough to join us this weekend -- along with Chase Christian, Turpster, and I, he talked with us about mages and how they're doing, Blizzard's new pets-for-cash scheme, and what's been showing up on the patch 3.3 PTR lately. Enjoy the show -- we'll be back next week as usual.

I couldn't help but notice Turpster managed to call Daggerspine a quote "safe" server.
Is that what Daggerspine has turned into again after loosing 90% of it's played when transfers where opened to Mazrigos and then Kazzak back in the AQ40 days. I miss that server to be honest, or I missed to hate it, because I HATE nagas and Daggerspine is a naga tribe so...
Anyways, is it any good? I'm considering a transfer these days.

I just listened to this on my daily commute and I had to turn it off - it's something that has been bugging me for the last ten or so episodes now and I just can't handle it any more.
Mike, you consistently talk over the top of every other person in the podcast. Consistently. You ask a question, listen to half a sentence of the person's answer, and then interrupt them. What is worse is that you constantly repeat yourself, saying the same things over and over with exactly the same words in a rambling monotone monologue. Why would you interrupt someone who is saying something new and interesting simply to repeat yourself?
I don't know why anyone would be even vaguely excited about the guests that you get on your show when you barely even let them speak. You know you're doing it too, because you mention it, but then when you try and engage your 'guests' with a question (after ignoring them for a full 20 minutes) you interrupt them and don't let them finish more than 10 words of their response!
I will definitely think twice about downloading the next episode of the 'Mike Schramm's Dominant Opinions and Verbal Diarrhea Show'. Turpster's excellent sense of humour is the only thing that keeps me listening.

Sorry, I just wanted to add one thing:
Mike, I think you're an excellent editor of wow.com. Standards of this blog community have risen tenfold since I started reading it, and I believe its success is mostly due to your high standards, good networking and excellent writing. You're an amazing editor.

I hear what you're saying -- I have noticed it, and I'll try to do it better. Obviously I'm not interrupting people just because I like to hear the sound of my own voice -- usually when I step in, there's information that I want to include as context before someone else goes on. But yes, I've noticed the interrupting, and that some of our folks aren't stepping in, and I'm working on it. I'm not saying that because I want to win you back as a listener -- you can listen to the show if you want to or not, I don't care. I'm just saying I hear you.
Riltia (commenter below), I hear the audio problems too, but you'll just have to believe me when I say things are as good as they can get. We're doing a lot here with practically nothing, and I agree that the levels are kooky at times, but at this point it's just the nature of the beast. Sorry.

Thanks, Mike.
+1 returned listener.

Mike, apologies but I have to agree with Dboy to a limit. But I don't think it's just you, I think Turpster is partially responsible. I can't really recall anything Chase & Christian said, because they didn't get much room to speak, and the mixing wasn't great.
This is a great show and I love listening to it, but this episode wasn't the best. Turpster was right at the start Mike, you were mixed very quietly. I listen to this podcast at work, and it's annoying to have to adjust the volume every few minutes because the voices aren't at the same level. The intro theme was also *incredibly* loud.
Keep up the great show, and I hope you'll read my criticism and maybe work on it.

What is the name of the Intro Song?
BTW: I LOVE YOUR SHOW!!
