Breakfast Topic: What class is your worgen going to be?

Cataclysm's coming, but thankfully you appear to have a bit of time left in Wrath's lifespan to decide how you're gonna tackle the expansion first. Me, I haven't decided yet. I want to level my shaman to 85 first -- maybe even go for realm first shaman/draenei if I've got the time and inclination -- or go for broke and level the hell out of a worgen in New Azeroth.
I know for a fact that I'll be rolling at least one worgen. My class selection's probably going to be a male worgen fury warrior, for the "hell yes" factor, and a female worgen frost mage because it appears they'll be tall, svelte things. And yes, I plan to roll a goblin too.
So what about you guys? Excited to blaze new trails and be Eastern Kingdom pioneers with your wolfman (or -woman)? What are you going to roll? Does your worgen have a backstory you're building? Let us know in the comments and in the poll below!
| Death Knight | |
|---|---|
| Druid | |
| Hunter | |
| Mage | |
| Rogue | |
| Priest | |
| Warlock | |
| Warrior | |
| I'm staying fully Horde, so I won't be rolling a worgen. | |
| I play Alliance but won't be rolling a worgen. | |
| I won't be getting Cataclysm. |

Sum Worgen is drood. And sum drood is for cat, and cat is for fight.
Mel Nov 11th 2009 8:14AM
Close, you spelled too many words correctly.

Please for the love of all that is good and right and proper, make Worgen Druids' Feral DPS form be a Wolf.
I voted Rogue, but I'll have both a rogue and a druid (the Druid will almost certainly be a race-change, though).

^This
Now how about those Darkspear Trolls.....
Neyssa Nov 11th 2009 8:54AM

NO!!! Wolf form for Worgen just won't happen....
1) why would they make special forms for a wolf and not for a cow... does it make sense for a cow to transform into a cat?? or a bear??? no it doesn't... so quit QQing over worgen having cat form....
Amaxe Nov 11th 2009 11:50AM
Besides with a worgen druid with a cat form, you can go chase yourself for exercise
toxicityj Nov 11th 2009 11:52AM
@ascu
they do. The Tauren cat is more of a lion, while the NE is more of a panther.
Ernestly Nov 11th 2009 8:05AM
At the time I'm posting, there's one vote for each. Fantastic!

Yeah, there seems to be no clear best class for Worgen, at least based on racials: Wolf/human form, improved skinning, all dmg increased by 1%, and 10s sprint on a 3m cd.
Rogue: dmg increase and sprint both useful, but does it outweigh a dwarf's ability to clear diseases (esp w/ DK's in the game), gnome trinket, or human trinket, weapon exp, and rep bonus?
DK: does it outweigh humans' weapon expertise, trinket, and rep bonus; or dwarf weapon expertise and armor cd; or NE avoidance, or dranaei +hit?
War: same, does it outweigh humans' weapon expertise, trinket, and rep bonus; or dwarf weapon expertise and armor cd; or NE avoidance, or dranaei +hit?
Druid: does it outweigh Shadowmeld's ability to break combat, one of the rarer but more useful abilities in the game? Shadowmeld gives kitties a Vanish.
Hunter: does it outweigh human trinket or dranaei +hit?
Mage: does it outweigh human trinket, dranaei +hit, or gnome +int?
Warlock: same, does it outweigh human trinket, dranaei +hit, or gnome +int?
Priest: same, does it outweigh human trinket, dranaei +hit, or gnome +int (since we're getting gnome priests in Cata)?

As an altaholic who gets the desire to roll a new class every few months, I'll probably just roll whatever class I am unreasonably envious of when Cataclysm comes out. (As a druid, all of my envy of other classes is, by its nature, unreasonable). Right now, its the warrior class, but I have also flirted with the idea of rolling a hunter or a warlock, so it will probably be one of those three.

I'm so identical to this point of view...it's scary.
Mitawa Nov 11th 2009 8:07AM
Rogue
Their unarmed/fist weapons animation ought to be amazing. ^^
Fyve & Boomstick Nov 11th 2009 9:41AM
Rogue also, I cant think of anything scarier than an invisible werewolf.
Crash Nov 11th 2009 2:21PM
How about invisible robot ninja werewolf?
Morningbell Nov 11th 2009 8:08AM
I'm disappointed as f**k that the currently highest-rated option is "I'm Horde fo lyf, so worgen are shit." I'm a proud Hordie, but still. They're friggin' werewolves. Their character models look AMAZING. And they can be all sorts of delicious classes that other bestial races (*coughtaurencough*) can't. What's not to like?
Other than that they're allies, but this is my point. They're only matey with the Night Elves, anyway, and the night elves (bar their numerous hunters) are coo.
Richie Nov 11th 2009 8:16AM
You're looking at it the wrong way. you have to combine all of the options that are in favor of worgen. At the time of my post It's looking like 72% of the people are going to roll a worgen
