I haven't played in a while now. I just ran up against a brick wall. I had already done everything I could to keep my characters geared up to be able to perform in our raids. I did heroic modes until my eyes bled, taking anyone in the guild who wanted to go so they could gear up. I gave away gems to help everyone.
We were making good progress with our small guild. Just enough players with a few extras to be able to do the 10 man content which was a great boon to us. We could see the content of the game finally.
In the end, we were hit with a three way punch. Our raid leader received a work/school schedule that precluded him being able to play. Our guild leader and his wife ended up in the hospital (they are fine now) and thus could not play. We had a number of players quit (mostly healers). We just couldn't keep up with the hemorrhaging and the boredom.
I'm doing other stuff now waiting for that 3.3 patch. I suspect it will last at least a few weeks but for now wow gaming is pretty much done.
