Geeze, I totally agree with Neirin up there, I have had ENOUGH with this huge amount of hit on Caster.DPS trinkets. You wanna know how many raiding players are already hit capped and have NO NEED for it? 100%. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. Hit is plenty abundant on gear, gems, and enchants, it just uses up valuable itemization points on trinkets. This is kind-of the same argument I use when my healer needs something that has hit on it. Some Warlock in the back says "that's a caster DPS item, you can't roll on it". I say "Are you hit capped? Well then, you will get just as much usefulness out of that hit as I will".
Also, why the hell do they keep putting on-use effects on trinkets? Proc effects are so much better for sustained DPS, and god knows my mage needs ANOTHER offensive cooldown to balance. Why do the healers get an awesome proc trinket, but us tanks and caster dps don't? Well, hopefully something better will drop in IC.

Maybe you're looking at it wrong. Maybe all the awesome epics in IC have no hit and this makes up for it.

Take a look on MMO-Champion. ICC drops are still dripping in hit. At the moment I'm dropping 245 gear for 226 or even 219 and getting dps gains because there is just far too much hit. On the plus side, there's a lot more haste going round too.
