We've been waiting to see the end rewards for
Patch 3.3's
Quel'delar questline, purported to be capable weapons, and it looks like this latest build revealed the stats for all of the weapon's incarnations.
Swords:
And if you can't use swords, you can turn Quel'delar in for:
Maces:
The stats are pretty good, actually! Not a bad reward at all. No tanking sword, though. Weird!
Patch 3.3 is the last major patch of
Wrath of the Lich King. With the new Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons and 10/25-man raid arriving soon, patch 3.3 will deal the final blow to Arthas.
WoW.com's Guide to Patch 3.3 will keep you updated with all the latest patch news.

Boo haste! This makes my DK sad.
Mike Nov 11th 2009 8:57PM
Unholy FTW. I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Deathgodryuk Nov 11th 2009 10:11PM
I said the same thing. Why do all of the 2H swords with tons of stam also have a ton of haste?
Wyred Nov 12th 2009 4:17AM
I'll see your 'stupid haste' and raise it a 'what, no axe?' for my arms warrior. Seriously though, haste? Do paladins like it or something?
Nick S Nov 12th 2009 8:02AM
Isn't Sword Spec for Warriors pretty decent with 10% proc chance? At least for PvE; I can see why you'd want Axe Spec for more crits during Bladestorm for PvP.
Mordockk Nov 12th 2009 9:00AM
Haste makes you swing faster. Melee dmg is one of most dk's top dmg sources. We also benefit more from haste than other classes.-I forget what patch they gave us better contribution from haste.
Wyred Nov 12th 2009 9:18AM
No, the votes are in. Sword spec still sucks. It's a 10% chance at an extra white hit every 6 secs(internal cd). Axe spec isn't just +5% crit, it's +5% crit bonus dmg as well. Take a look at your dps and what meta they're using. I'm willing to bet it's one variation or another of the +3% crit dmg meta. Basically, axe spec will beat out an equally statted mace every time (if you believe the maths of various Elitist Jerks posters, which I do), no matter what the stats of the warrior in question. Sword spec doesn't even come close. As I said in a post below, even if your axe is a tier below, being an axe makes it better. To make matters worse, it has haste on it which is a terrible stat for arms due to slam.
Malkavos Nov 11th 2009 8:12PM
Bah, Haste rating. The perfect stat for when you want to make an item good, but not TOO good. Still, better'n what I've got.
Ethan Nov 12th 2009 2:06AM
Would have been nice to see hit or expertise to make it a viable tanking weapon.
Mullac Nov 11th 2009 8:18PM
Actually, the other 3 swords are up at MMO Champion as well. http://tinyurl.com/ydstwa3
Cephas Nov 11th 2009 8:30PM
Actually the three maces are there as well as well. (Same link as above).
joie Nov 11th 2009 8:19PM
I don't have time to raid with my work schedule so this sword is better then nothing I suppose unless something better then it drops in the 5 man icecrown heroic .
Mike Nov 11th 2009 8:56PM
Very likely this will be the best piece of gear period in Wrath outside a raid, and a good piece at that. Me want.
freeway8989 Nov 11th 2009 8:18PM
Despite the haste, I'm liking all that strength and dps. It will make a good weapon for my paladin.
freeway8989 Nov 11th 2009 8:28PM
I was also hoping for a tanking wep. Looks like that ain't happening.
Clydtsdk-Rivendare Nov 11th 2009 8:31PM
I'm sure there'll be a tanking weapon among the rewards--it just won't be a sword.
As for DKs, would we take the Str/Haste/Crit or the Agi/AP/Arpen/crit? Obviously Str scales better due to BoK but it comes at the cost of haste which isn't exactly great for DKs I think. I think what tips it though is that the Str version has better weapon speed.
staffan.johansson Nov 11th 2009 9:25PM
As a DK, I'd definitely take Str/haste/crit over Agi/AP/ArPen/Crit. Note that the Strength bonus is far higher than the AP even before including talents and Kings - 164 Str gives 328 AP, and the Agi weapon only gives 197. Veteran of the Third War gives +6%, Abomination's Might +2%, and Ravenous Dead +3% - a total of +11% for 364 AP, or 400 with Kings. In addition, the Str weapon has a speed of 3.60 and the Agi one has 3.40, which helps out with all those attacks we have that deal weapon damage as instants.
Falcon6 Nov 11th 2009 8:29PM
My Warrior is sad...I don't see any tanking weapon in here.=(
I'll just have to make due with giving him a DPS sword, I guess.
Karilyn Nov 11th 2009 8:33PM
Indeed, it makes me sad too. Moreso sad because there isn't a DPS axe version. Which means I will not be able to use Quel'Delar for either my Prot Mainspec, or my Arms offspec.
At least Ret Pallies, Tanking DKs, and Tanking Druids will be happy with their options.
Tyrnas Nov 11th 2009 8:47PM
@Karilyn
It has 267.2 dps at a good healthy slow speed of 3.6.
Is sword spec optimal for arms? Hell no. But unless you have something close to those numbers up there, this is an upgrade, and a damn good one at that.
