One Boss Leaves: Eregos downs Keristrasza

How crazy does crazy get? Keristrasza's brand of crazy was mind-numbing enough to drop her from the skies in this week's Two Bosses Thunderdome. Eregos maintained the upper hand with a full 50% of the vote in this week's fantasy deathmatch.
"In her maddened state, I'd say Keristrasza is at a large disadvantage," wrote DruidGuard. "All too eager for her own death, driven mad and facing down one of the major blue dragons that helped imprison her, Keristrasza might very well eat a full Planar Shift burst to the face. Not to mention she'll be facing down a very angry Ley-Guardian Eregos every so often with his Enraged Assault.
"If she was on her A game, she might have a chance with careful kiting and freezing, but in her current mental state, I'm not sure how well she'd act. Ley-Guardian Eregos just seems too strong and cunning for this battle, so I'm afraid Ley-Guardian Eregos gets my vote on this one. Such a shame, but remember, this IS ultimately what Keristrasza wants."

"Eregos will slowly attack Keristrasza, bombarding her with his abilities, smugly taunting her, paying no attention to the fact that rather than try to run (kite) or stand back and fight, she's taking the beating and flying directly to him. Only when she's on him does he realize what she's going to do. She doesn't attack with the flurry of spells commonly used on Eregos. She shreds him. Her claws tear at his wings, and she quickly latches on his throat.
"The two of them crash into the Oculus, with Eregos unable to scream as Keristrasza shakes him by his neck like a pit bull with a chew toy. Slowly he freezes while she tears at him, leaving him a frozen, multilated monument atop the Oculus. In my opinion, Eregos doesn't have a chance against the dragon who still has the passion of a red with the magic of a blue."

I woulda said it would have been a tie, since Eregos decided he hated Oculus just as much as everyone else and left.

This wins. Make it a tie.

Would he get the deserter debuff once he left?
fatherland Nov 12th 2009 10:18AM
Eregos should have committed seppuku due to the incoming Oculus nerf.
Titusx Nov 12th 2009 10:39AM
Lol, yeah! Does the fight take place pre or post nerf? XD
I still think Eregos is mightier than Keri though. She has the crazy dog attitude but hes the last boss of the most dreaded dungeon in the game... that has to account for something.

I wonder if people realize the freezing effect didn't come from Keristraza, but from the room she's in...
BuzzDX Nov 12th 2009 2:26PM
If it comes from the room, why don't you get the debuff when you first enter and fight the dragonkin add before freeing here?
PocketFox Nov 12th 2009 4:11PM
Because all that cold is at first being directed at her, to keep her frozen, and when you deactivate the statues, it permeates the entire room instead? I dunno, I'm just guessing. :P

I strongly disagree with the result. I think people voted for Eregos because people seem (for reasons I've never fully understood) to wipe on Occulus a lot, hence it getting nerfed. But in a lorewise fight, he's not actually that great.
