I prefer healing, so that's where I prioritize my gear, but even if you like both I'd stick with healing first for a couple reasons:
1) if you have limited time to run heroics, being a (good) healer is going to get you more bang for you buck than being another dime-a-dozen dps.
2) In 5-mans, being a good healer is more important than being a good dps. If you're a bad dps, the group goes through a little slower. If you're a bad healer, the group might not get through at all. Your dps obviously wont be as good as it could be if you're in healing gear, but you'll be fine for 5-mans. Try to pick up a few pieces with hit rating to help out.
