Around Azeroth: Everybody was kung-fu fighting
After a long day of adventuring (and pugging) throughout Zul'Drak, Ephemora needed to unwind," writes submitter Ephemora of <Jaded> on Blade's Edge. "There's nothing like some tai chi chuan to help her relax! She found the perfect spot just along the border of Crystalsong Forest near the Unbound Thicket. Her Pandaren monk buddy couldn't help but to join in! Afterward they shared some brews and gazed at the stars before heading back to Dalaran."
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

The only thing this needs is a Blood Elf Death Knight using Army of the Dead to summon a squad of ninja ghouls. The panda monk would destroy them with his drunken boxing, leaving the Unholy one to face Ephemora's fists of righteous fury.

Ran into a Pandaren Monk for the first time in a PUG last night. Damn, but that got old fast. A liitle advice: if you want people to keep looking at your little pet with amusement and curiosity, dismiss him sometime before the third wipe at the hands of trigger happy whelp dpsing mage. Novel kung-fu Panda sounds are less than endearing when you're looking for something to throttle.

Yeah, I'm getting that way too. Last night, I had a few attempts at making my imp Firebolt the straw-hatted git...to no avail.
Hopefully someone at Blizz can rectify this.

Yeah, the Pandaren pet looks cool but is extremely annoying because of the sounds he makes. I avoid them.

Oi. That's annoying. I saw my first Pandaren Monk last week - oddly enough, also in a heroic - but the owner put it away before we started killing things. All the non-combat pets are nifty, but they really shouldn't be around during a battle.

Lil kt would whoop both of them.

I'm really surprised by how many people have spent real money for this pet. I have nearly 100 pets in-game and haven't spent a single penny on any of them. I know this one is cool and all, but not worth $10 when so many other pets are available for free, imo.
So i'm curious, if you bought this pet, did u buy it because u really thought it was the coolest pet and this was the only way to get it? Or did u get it because it was easier than buying or farming for one in-game? Or just because you want to have every pet you can get, regardless of how you get it?
Maybe wow.com could do a poll on this. I'd love to see where the various reasons for buying it rank.

Well, in the Panderan's case at least, it could have been for the $5 of the price going to the Make-A-Wish foundation, some people do like to donate to charities and get something fun at the same time...

I got it because I do like it a lot. It had nothing to do with the acheivment. I've gotten to 75 pretty easily and I enjoy the challenge of getting them in the world.
I got both this one and KT because they are just a lot of fun. :D

Actually, you're paying 15 dollars a month for your nearly 100 pets.
(Although I secretly agree with you in that I don't spend money on WoW merchandise outside the game itself)

That's a really great screenshot :)

How did they get the night elf pose? Is that part of their dance?
Valt Nov 13th 2009 1:53PM
Unarmed autoattack pose..
Frank Smith Nov 13th 2009 1:28PM
I think the guy that made the toy train set did the sound for this pet. Now about that Panda-wrecker...
Dreyja Nov 13th 2009 4:59PM
Crouching Panda, Hidden Night Elf. ;)
MusedMoose Nov 14th 2009 8:50AM
What gets me is that I started doing Tai Chi last month, and the elf's pose there actually looks like part of one of the solo forms. It's not perfect, obviously, but I think I know what move would come next. *grin*
