Man, realm instability in the beginning was something else. Anyone that started after they got all that straightened out really has no idea. I remember having 7+ days of game credit due to the realms crashing constantly, 5-6 days a week. And now people get up in arms if the scheduled maintenance runs over.

Yeah, during the first few weeks of WoW I remember spending more time on my toon in the looting animation, than doing anything else. Then again loot skating was kinda fun.

I remember when nobody complained about weekly matinence, and only the "REALMS ARE GOING OFFLINE IN 15 MIN! GET TO AN INN!!!" messages. Then you'd wait two hours and hope realms were back up. Granted, it was a relief when you were stuck looting and the realm went down and then you could fight stuff again. :P
