This is an interesting thing for a large company like Blizzard to openly admit that one of the things they implemented (not to mention the insane amount of effort it took to make them) was a failure. I really think that's more impressive than we are giving them credit for.
Still, what does this hold for the players that DO play Arena and enjoy it. I mean, it's probably a given that after such a definitive statement like that, that the arena 'scene' is going to die off relatively slowly.
Another note, does this also mean that the number of people who do enjoy arena is small enough that they are willing to write them off like this? I'm really interested to hear what people think.
