The Daily Quest: Cash4Emblems

The Mistress of Pain costume contest winner is actually a Diablo-related costume, but that doesn't make it any less awesome. You'll find an interview with her and more bloggy goodness below.
- Alltern8 has a long interview with Lorraine Torres, who dressed up as a Mistress of Pain at BlizzCon 2009.
- Mania examines the pets of Kalimdor, and which ones might become endangered once the Cataclysm hits.
- "When I first think about self defense in a raiding context," says WoWGrrl, "'staying alive' is what comes to mind."
- Rhii of I Sheep Things has a short essay on keeping a long-distance relationship alive in WoW.

Yeah emblems are the sole funding of my raiding. I get 60+ triumph emblems a week just raiding (not even doing dailies) which is 4 crusader orbs, and at 650-800g a pop that's around 3k a week without any effort or having to do dailies or play the AH.

Another use for EoC is to convert then to EoV and buy the tanking 213 bracers.
Depending on your server, you can fetch quite a lot for them. YMMV.
I've been doing that and making about 1300g per set.
Fresh 80 tanks and such are still buying them as they're the only BoE bracer aside from the 245 crafted ones which cost a lot more in raw materials.

I looked at Rhii's situation about using WoW to support a long distance relationship. I encourage everyone to read it, but I'd like to share a shorter version of my response here.
Do communicate with your significant other, but if it gets to the point that WoW is both the topic and the medium of your communication, you need to branch out. Talk about life. You'll eventually move past the "I can't think of anything to talk about" phase and into the "How was your day" 5+ hour phone call phase (Which is slightly different from the initial "OMG I love you so much" 5+hour phone call phase that probably happened a while back).
