Ok, Blizzard I get it. You want me to collect pets and mounts and farm up long forgotten factions. I'll do it. You want me to collect tabards? Sure ... waitaminute. Where the heck do I store all that crap? Where is Tabard spellbook? It seems that Blizzard want us to get into collecting (it's a great time sink after all) and recognised that we need to do that without it impacting upon our increasingly limited bank slots. Yet, tabards have been forgotten. We have the achievements, we have the tabard vendor yet we don't have the means to stop if clogging our bank slots. Sure, you can delete them after you bought them and they will still count towards it but really is a wardrobe spellbook ala mounts and pets that much to ask?If you they do it, I promise I will be as much of addict collector. Until then, I say meh to tabard shmabards.

Your guild tabard counts as 1. I found this out when I purchased a guild tabard and got the achievement, lol.

I totally agree, and have always wondered why Blizzard didn't do this. I then realized that the reason is probably because a tabard is a piece of gear that is worn on our bodies - it takes up a gear slot. It has to be a physical item to do this, not a spell. Pets and mounts are summoned. A spell can summon. A spell can't be worn.So my proposed fix is to have the tabards converted to spells that CONJURE tabards, in the same way that mages conjure food. You could then equip it until you logged out or conjured a different one. The spells could then go to a tab like the pet and mount spells. So instead of buying an actual tabard, you'd buy the spell to conjure that tabard.

This. So much this. It really wouldn't be that difficult to implement a tabard storage system. And once they get that figured out maybe they could give us a few armor racks to store our old armor! I've kept all the PvP gear I've ever gotten, way back from when it was just "Gladiator's (insert item name here)" and my bank has about 2 open slots left in it :X

Player housing, with a wardrobe, would solve this issue.http://www.wow.com/2009/07/24/more-ideas-for-player-housing/
