WoW Moviewatch: Among the Badger Men
The Wolvar are one of my favorite parts of Wrath of the Lich King, and I'm darn happy that they're finally getting their moment in the sun. Stone Falcon Productions has brought the love for Wolvar to the public in their mockumentary called Among the Badger Men.
Among the Badger Men is an amazing piece of work, especially when you consider the team created this piece in a mere 48 hours. The voice acting is spot on. The music is well selected and perfectly matches the "action" of the film. The plot is wonderfully complex, with enough moving parts to hold the audience's attention through the entire movie.
I especially enjoy the characterization of the Badger Men. I grant that the way the Badger Men (People) are portrayed doesn't really match the Wolvar from in-game text, but it's still pretty amusing how they react to the explorer with straight-faced amusement.
You should definitely take the time to check out this movie. It's a little longer than most videos we feature here, but i promise it's worth the time.

Haha, that was pretty great. Loved the kid trying to get out of doing his homework.

Stone Falcon Productions, this was quality work.
I just have to wonder; if you could toss something this good together in 48 hours, why is it taking you years to make more Snacky's Journal episodes?

Because they have lives too you know. :P
Oh yeah, and you forgot to credit Oblivious Films in the article! :(

I'm still doing machinima, just in more of a pro capacity these days, so with that and my day job at Disney and my boyfriend and his 3 kids - who has time for Snacky? ;P However, I do have another something coming out very soon...
And yeah, this was a joint venture between me and Macheath of Oblivious films. Sedrin of Slashdance did the original music. Please add them to your article!

That was quality! I'm glad I watched.

The film was a joit effort between Stone Falcon and Oblivious Films. And I should also note that the music wasn't selected, it was composed by Sedrin of Slashdance.

Haha, that was so great, one of the few actually enjoyable machinima I've ever watched.

pretty damn good for being made in 48 hours... but I thought the wolvar were supposed to be wolverines not badgers...

Yeah our excuse is that the documentary filmmaker is an idiot in the first place. Plus, 'badger' is funnier than 'wolverine' which sounds too badass.

I am amused.

Those loook suspiciously like Frenzyhearts (not Wolvar), especially since the intro takes you down to into Scholazar Basin, where you know, the Oracle/Frenzyheart stuff happens...

Wolvar are more fierce and wolf-like, and tend to be all Elune-touched and enslaved to folks in Shadowfang Keep, or stuck behind some charcoal-hair wall. :)

You're confusing Wolvar with Worgen. Worgen are the wolf-men in SFK, and Wolvar are wolverine-men you find in Scholazer. Also, Frenzyheart isn't an animal species it's the name of a tribe of Wolvar :)

your probably thinking of Worgens
Edmunt Nov 13th 2009 3:56PM
lol great. "I'm gonna make a documentary about how stupid you are!"

Good vid. I don't know if I liked it as much as "The Things You Need" (SFP's prevous 48 hour film project). We get it, the Wolvar are intelligent and the real idiot is the documentary film maker. The joke got kind of stale towards the end, but I guess the whole thing, including the story was cooked up in 48 hours so I can't be too harsh.

I didn't like it as much as Things You Need either.
Dreyja Nov 13th 2009 4:59PM
WIN! Very funny. I'm elated to hear that another snacky episode might be coming... someday. :)
Keep it up.

I was laughing by butt off when he set the hut on fire and the Wolvar came running and was yelling "What the **** that's my ****'ing hut!"
Was just hilarious work all together.
