Not only is the Mohawk Grenade real and in-game, but Mr. T put it there. That's what we learn in this new commercial, a sequel of sorts to the old "Night Elf Mohawk" joke a long while back. Not only is T (not The T, just T) decked out in a Murloco's Taco's T-shirt, but he shows the in-game item in action. It's how he makes the World of Warcraft look good.
I love it -- well done, Blizzard. Great kickoff to the holiday marketing season, and it's awesome that they've got the commercial (which we assume you'll soon see on television) promoting the actual in-game item in a quality way. Sure, The Old Republic and a few other MMOs might be knocking on WoW's door, but who wouldn't want to play a game where you can throw a grenade and make people look like Mr. T? Maybe this is where all those newbies will be coming from.

Back in my day, when the founding fans of WOW ruled Molten Core, we had to walk 10 miles uphill to get to Black Rock Mountain...and we liked it!

It's kind of strange that this is what the game is being advertised as, I have to say:
We've got Mr. T and William Shatner! I think it's Blizzard's way of passively admitting that the plot and lore are derivative and overplayed, or at least that only a tiny portion of the player base cares about it one way or another. But that's what happens when you hit mainstream, I guess. I'll still play it.

So far, I've found these to be quite fun. In particular they're handy for tossing off in the start of AV and turning half the BG into Night Elf Mohawks. I also have found that the giggle factor is a blast if you can hit the Auction houses, in particular Stormwind.

Just moments after acquiring my first stack, I found an unsuspecting 80 human paladin in the SW AH named "Barracus." True story!
And what a testament to Mr. T's badassery...the buff lasts through Druid shapeshifting!

Dude this game is way better than it was on vanilla wow. Seriously 40 man raids were a hassle to throw together and only 2 percent of the people playing could even see the content . Most people arnt 40 year old virgins who live in their moms basements. Please just get laid and go outside. Wow is much better in wrath than in BC or vanilla. Bc was horrible. Going thru black temple and tempest keep is just lame. Vanilla was better than bc but not wrath you might be as ignorant as they come. Tv spots like this make wow a more expansive game and also leads to more in game content. There is a button on your account management that says "Cancel Subscription" Hit it please.

You know who hammers on about Vanilla wow being so much better? People who aren't very good at the subsequent content.
Also Cath? You win the award for bitter troll lashing out whenever anyone writes anything.
And Thundr? Your friends thinking wow is 'ghey?' That is just sooooo str8t.
If only this grenade worked on army of the dead! Mr T army to cut out that Jibba Jabba and take down that fool arthas!
