See, I actually do RP my characters (I've even written a couple of the RP columns as a guest writer) and for me, I had no issue when it finally became time to sit down and play a DK because it only fueled my hatred of the Lich King when I was finally released from his control.

Starting Zone DK's don't really have a choice. They don't remember who they are. They don't have their own minds. It's not until Thassarian and Koltira intersect with you that you slowly regain that sense of self, and it's at LHC where Darion returns to who he really is, and returns that to you as well. So I didn't see it as 'playing a puppy kicker' so much as I saw it as 'You twisted everything good about me into this horrible thing that I now am, and now I'm going to kill you for it."
