I think it will work out quite nicely, at least better than T9. I'm not interested in the stupid easy-to-obtain / hardcore vs. casual debate about new gear. I'm just glad that it's straightforward ilvl progression now. In T9, quite a few of my guildies bought the 232 tier gear and then didn't get trophies (at least not at first), since they already had the 232 tier. This will alleviate any risk of "wasting" emblems on lower level gear, since you'll need to buy the lower level tier anyway before you can get ilvl 264. I like it.
