My computer got a virus last month from Wowhead, so I haven't been back since. Has Wowhead corrected the problem? I think it was an issue with one of the advertisements they allow. I'm sooooo hesitant to return since I sure don't want another keylogger or whatever that Virtumonde junk was. :(

Get an antivirus program installed then?
I've also got AdBlock and I never see anything other than what I want to. So if there was an issue it's most likely fixed.

Nope, there are still problems on their site as I was infected 2 days ago. I use a 2nd computer when I'm playing WoW to look up stuff as needed. I was on the Wowhead site and accidentally clicked on an add banner or a link in a comment, not sure which to be honest. Before I could even react I had been infected with Anti-Virus System Pro 2009.
Now, it's partly my fault because I had recently reformatted that computer and had not installed NoScript and AddBlock Plus for Firefox. That being said, people need to be aware that malicious software is still a very prevalent problem on some of our favorite sites.
I had no problems getting that crap off of the computer, but I can see how easy it would be for others to start clicking 'accept' or 'install' on pop up messages on their screen. If you don't remember installing a piece of software on you computer, then don't click the 'accept' button on your screen.
I love WoWhead and will continue to use it daily but I will make sure to have the proper security in place before going there in the future.
