LOL as a mage i even laughed - however the real reasons more proasic. Its cos some noob has invariably dotted the dam mob (bleeds deep wounds corruption etc etc) - and as the glyph of polymorph is used about as much as a chocolate teapot, its a waste of mana,time, effort and dps to repoly it. Personally i prefer the robustness of lock cc to mage cc - having something that heals the mob - and is so fragile a misplaced blade of grass will break it - it not very useful in anything but solo/very small groups. (Yes i play lock AND mage). Although lock cc is a lot more situational, when i can be used imo its superior.
