WoW Moviewatch: Achievement Wh0re

Achievement Wh0re is a new song by Gigi and Nation. (Nation was once Abandonation, but I'm not sure if the label change is purposeful, or just a hip contraction.) The video was created by WoPairs, who shows an excellent eye for character portraiture in this piece.
The song is dedicated to those who seek out achievements to the cost of all else. I'm not much of an achievement guy, so I found the send-up of it to be pretty amusing. I guess I see how some folks are really into them, but achievements feel like one really long grind to me.
Notably, this piece is an entirely original song. And while I always feel out of my depth evaluating rap, I definitely salute Gigi and Nation for expanding in that direction. It's fantastic to see the pair growing as artists, and creating new art in the musical belf-o-sphere. I'm interested in seeing what they might do next, if this video's success encourages them to keep creating new stuff.

Oh god I'm starting to hate auto-tune. Didn't like the music but the video is well made. Props!

Very good video, I didn't like GiGi's lyrics and vocals much, but thought Nation did very well :)

Nation carried this song entirely. This is why Gigi was singing for maybe 20 seconds out of the entire 3:44.
To be honest, I was somewhat unimpressed with Abandonation in Honor Killz, but now I'm definitely a bigger fan. I despise Gigi as always. The song itself made me laugh several times too.
Best line of the song: "Please don't be disruptin' me, turnin' on my ."
I have had so many people ask me why I play with my afk and dnd tags on. The answer is invariably that I'm grinding an achievement like loremaster and don't want people to ask me to raids or 5-mans.

Stupid wow.com comment system. Apparently when the letters DND are put in angle brackets, they are read as tags and disappear. This is why my quoted line is missing something.

Yep, auto-tune is really horrible these days. Lots of people have realised it's jumped the shark but clearly nobody at Machinima.

Jesus. T-Pain opened a fucking can of worms with his stupid synthesized voice if the WoW geeks are emulating his style.
Please stick to shitty derivative rock music from now on, or whatever the hell these two do. Just... no. Or listen to real rap music and base it on that, not that crap playing on the radio 24/7.

The video is good, the lyrics are ok, nation is natural born raper, but GIGI.... when she open her mouth and try to sing it's just ruins every Machinima shes in, really u don't have voice , even milion-time synthetized thru some elcectronic device it ain't better.

I don't know why Nation continues to work with Gigi. It's nothing against her personally, but her vocals are hard to understand and don't add anything to video most of the time. There are some things she has done that have been good, but in this piece, he certainly would have been better off without her.
But kudos on a good machinima and props to them for writing it from scratch!

GiGi has a terrible voice. She is holding nation back. I liked her song fun to be a hunter, but she is tone deaf.
