I think too many people are stuck on game mechanics here. If King Dred were a real dinosaur and Vol-whatever was a real whatchamahoozit, considering both are similar size, Dred would win due to TEETH. Does the big evil elephant have teeth? No. Does it have teeth resistant armor? No. Is it made of Kryptonyte? Possibly, but Dred isn't from Krypton so it doesn't matter. My choice was based on the fact that T-Rex > something-squishy-and-not-at-all-dangerous, there is a reason T-Rex was at the top of the food chain.

Agreed. If you take game mechanics out of it and just look at the story, it's pretty elementary. Flaily tentacles versus big honkin' teeth.I know some of you are saying, "But.. but... he doesn't just eat PCs in one chomp, why would he do that to Volajz?"The answer is easy. If your steak stabbed you with a knife every time you tried to bite it, you might not chomp down so quickly. However, if you have a big plate of calamari (and really, I recommend everyone go check out the recipe I posted in the original thread) that has no knife... you'd dig right in.
