Im quitting when SWTOR comes out and wait until Blizz new MMO . Wow is a fun game and will always hold a special place in my heart but Blizzard continues to balance the game around Arena . The content comes out at a snails pace and when you have played the game for 3-4 years you get VERY bored of the same old thing . Especially when all you can look forward to is class nerfs . Obviously a lot of people still love this game but seriously as for me I am jumping ship as soon as a decent other MMo comes out .

And, unless a miracle will happen, you'll be back.As are back players that said "Cya, WoW sucks, I'm going to play this new ubercool game: New decent MMORPG simply won't happen, as all the producers seem to be too short sighted to make a good game in long time. They want money *NOW* even if that means that in a couple of months their game playerbase will be 1/10th of the release day (due to bugs, classes unbalance, lack of content, grindiness, excessive resources usage, lack of communication...)SWTOR? Star Trek Online? Any other future game? To have a chance to be good and retain players, they should simply be released one year after their current announced date. In that year, with the game ready, the developers should add enough quests to allow painless leveling, enough end content to last for months, balance classes in PvE/PvP and so on.It won't happen.

"And, unless a miracle will happen, you'll be back.""The game that is gonna kill WoW after aion, warhammer online, guild wars and many, many others... It just won't happens."It's fair to mention that WoW has had over it's lifespan substantially more players than it has now... Wasn't there an interview a few weeks back that said that they've had a total of some 40 million people who played the game and left, never to return? 10 Million subscriptions is a lot. But that doesn't mean people haven't left WoW and never returned.WoW is just really good at gaining more new players than it loses. No game has to kill WoW, and personally I could care less if the game I'm playing has the largest playerbase? What does that matter when it's spread across numerous servers? you don't get to play with the majority of the playerbase anyway. For me, with the way WoW has been heading for the duration of WotLK, I'm going to move on to FFXIV when it is released. I used to play FFXI, enjoyed it greatly. Blizzard took most of the fun out of tanking, and I've been going through the motions for a year now, hoping that the game will get more interesting again. Yet I log on less and less.I reckon, when FFXIV finally comes out, I'll just stop logging into WoW all together, and that's it.

the only ones saying that SW:TOR will "kill" WoW was the dunce when it was first announced. I don't think it's a "WoW killer" but will take a sizable chunk out of WoW's player base unlike WAR, AoC, Aion, and others for the very fact that it's BioWare that is making it. If it's even CLOSE to the level of SW:KotR, KotR 2, or Dragon Age: Origins than they'll have a hit. Though i do see this killing SW: Galaxies off as I see SW:TOR as what Galaxies should have beenI'll be rolling a Bounty Hunter for sure :D

Funny they should post this now, I've very recently started to take a big interest in Aion. And now I'm leaving WoW for Aion.I wasn't really bothered about it when it came out, but now that no matter what I do I can't seem to find a class that clicks.I have two 80dks (Quit the 1st from wotlk launch, rolled a new one later on) and they're probably the most fun I've had in pvp with any class. And tbh I don't enjoy it that much.So then I think about PvE.Running heroic after heroic to build up good gear, only to not be able to get into a decent raiding guild, coz "Soz, we full on nabknights lawl".So I can try to pug it right?Yeah, I pugged ulduar the other day, was fail but was eye-opening.PvE is boring.I realised there was a reason having a class that was fun in PvP as my raider was so important to me...Pve is boring, its just stick to the rotation... stick to the rotation.... oh look, the boss is doing something vaguely dangerous looking, run to safety/away/to the switch/to the add etc.So really I feel like I've had enough of the endless grind of getting money for mounts, proffs, enchants and whatever and just want to try something new.Thats how Aion caught my eye, it is a beautiful game and the ability animations actually look exciting. For example, the arms warrior equivalent (the gladiator) has an execute attack, rather then make the characters hands turn red and a little bit of blood spurts out, he actually swings his weapon around over his head and slams it down in front of him.It feels like NCsoft actually put the effort in to make cool animations for the class spells, rather than use the same animation for everything over and over (I'm looking at you dps warrior!).Anyway, I would just like to say thank you to WoW.com for a never ending, free source of enjoyable reading material and a great WoW resource. As well as the WoW community themselves, you were dicks, you were shockingly friendly, and you were funny as hell, good luck to you in all your endeavours. And lastly, no I'm not going to thank blizz, I want an apology from them for keeping my soul on hold for the last 3 years!!Ah well, you've made me appreciate my spare time all the more thanks to that now, so thanks for that I guess.I'm gonna miss y'all!

"Wasn't there an interview a few weeks back that said that they've had a total of some 40 million people who played the game and left, never to return? 10 Million subscriptions is a lot. But that doesn't mean people haven't left WoW and never returned."Personally I'd prefer a game that was successful but not nearly as much as WoW. When a game becomes like WoW they probably will start making the same decisions Blizzard has made in the past year or so such as making the game even more casual than it already was. I hate how I have nothing to do in this game other than raid 1 day a week since TOC and TOCGC is so incredibly easy and how Icecrown is being stupidly gated. They aren't even adding anything else in 3.3 other than a gated 5 man and raid and so there wont even be new dailies to bore myself doing.I am hoping FF14 is decent since KotOR won't interest me much as I am not much of a Star Wars fan and Aion is just way to korean grindy for me.

>Funny they should post this now, I've very recently started to take a big interest in Aion. And now I'm leaving WoW for Aion.<This is funny because two members of my guild tried Aion and have now come back because...it's just that bad. Not the launch problems, but the lack of quests, the pointless grind, the drops, the inability to do anything about goldsellers and bots...Yeah, some of this is a problem in WOW, but apparently it's worse in AION.
